I wandered across this in my daily search for news. Giacchino's music is pretty integral to the feel of the new Star Trek movies, so while this is a little different from what's normally posted, I think it's still relevant and fun to see his process. He talks about Star Trek at about 7:50 if you want to skip ahead but it's a short piece so I'd recommend watching the entire thing anyway.
