Here's an interview with Chris Pine where he talks a little about Kirk's emotional journey in STID. He also talks a bit about how Benedict's character interacts with the crew. Not much new and there's only a transcript so far but I expect the video will be uploaded eventually. I'll add it to the post when it is. Not much in terms of spoilers here.
Pine Talks Kirk’s Journey and Being Tested By Cumberbatch’s Harrison
Speaking to GyaO! at the Tokyo Star Trek Into Darkness press event a couple of weeks back, Chris Pine talked about how a long time passed between production on the last Star Trek movie and Into Darkness and how he has applied that to the work in the film, saying…
Chris Pine: I’m different because I am five years older and hopefully a bit more mature and I have had many more experiences since the first film and you can only help that experiences to bear on the character you are portraying at the time. So Kirk is definitely different this time around.
Read the rest at Trek Movie. It's seems like the interview is shorter than the other GyaO! interviews because the transcript is pretty short.
Sorry for the lack of pictures to pretty up the post. I'm out of state on a slow wifi connection and graphics will make this load even slower. :/
