Dear Avon Rep,

The upcoming release of Avon's newest fragrance, Eternal Magic in Campaign 9 just got a lot more exciting. Avon announced on January 12 that our newest women's fragrance will include celebrity partner Zoë Saldana, leading actress for the top-grossing film Avatar.

"I'm very proud to be working with Avon and to be the face of Eternal Magic," says Zoë. "It means so much to me to be associated with a company that shares my values and believes in empowering women."

A beautiful, intelligent and talented actress, Zoë has been featured in a number of films, including The Terminal, Star Trek, and Center State. In addition to supporting Eternal Magic, Zoë will also be featured as the face of the color cosmetics category in future brochures.

Avon North America President Geralyn Breig said, "We are thrilled to have Zoë as the spokesperson for Eternal Magic. Every woman wants to be unforgettable and Zoë perfectly embodies that feeling. She's a rising star in Hollywood - and has built a strong reputation for playing empowering characters that leave a lasting impression." She added: "We were drawn to her inner and outer beauty, and feel she represents the perfect combination of strength and femininity."

Eternal Magic will be available to order via Ship Direct in Campaign 6, so you can have it in your hands for Customers in advance of the Campaign 9 launch . . . just in time for Mother's Day!

The Sounds of Star Trek

"Star Trek" Sound for Film Profile from Michael Coleman on Vimeo.

In this sound for film video profile we answer the question, “Is there sound in outer space?” and “If there is sound in space, what does it sound like?”

The “Star Trek” sound team including Supervising Sound Editor Mark Stoeckinger, Supervising Sound Editor Alan Rankin, Sound Designer Scott Gershin, Sound Designer Ann Scibelli, and Sound Designer Tim Walston talk about the approach and sound design behind the eleventh film based on the Star Trek franchise directed by J.J. Abrams.

Just a pretty cool interview with the people behind the sound of Star Trek, if anyone's interested.
