Y'all, I am totally wiped out from an all-day job interview, so I will do a double recap next week, I promise!  (Thanks also to eames  for filling in last week while I was traveling!)  Post your yummy/crafty ST goodies in the comments! :D
GQMFs!  What (if anything) should be our response to the earthquake crisis in Haiti?!  You know the Enterprise would be there in a heartbeat, passing out blankets and synthesizing food and providing sexy doctors to help.

If you think we should band together and raise funds, make your voice heard! This is, after all, the community that saved calumfan 's dog and is going to build a well in Africa.

Charity auctions (fic, art, crafts, etc)? Fundraising drive? Telethon?  Quietly helping in our own individual ways but not as a community?  You decide... post ideas in the comments!

(FYI, CNN has a list of good charities here.)

MTV wanted nosey comments on the recent Spiderman debacle. Get this, bbs:

J.J. Abrams has commented on Sony's plans to reboot the Spider-Man film franchise.

Speaking to MTV, the Star Trek director joked about his reaction to the news of a new Spider-Man film.

"I think, as the director of Mission Impossible 3 and Star Trek 15 or whatever it is, I'm probably the last one to speak badly about a reboot of anything. So... 'Yay! Reboots!'" Abrams said.

When asked for advice on how the studio should approach the reboot, the 43-year old jested: "Definitely cast [Star Trek stars] Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto."

Oh, JJ. Good advice! Everyone should cast Pinto for everything now.

The leads for JJ's new series, Undercovers, have also been announced: Gugu Mbatha-Raw (of Doctor Who fame) and Boris Kodjoe.

Me and thesomber got to talking about farting, as one does obviously. Then it sort of slipped into talking about whether Spock does it. Then it escalated into quite the proper chat about whether Vulcans even sweat or if Vulcans were so perfect they don't need to emit gases then and then.

Of course, then it hit us that he is half-human after all so. We figured we'd ask you guys.

Does Spock fart?

No, I'm not drunk. Just a curious person. Thank you for your time \\//
