Captain Fine to play Captain America?

Chris Pine as Captain America

"The First Avenger: Captain America" is set to go in front of the cameras in June, leaving very little time to cast the lead role. Apparently director Joe Johnston has a list of actors he's looking at, and they are all between ages of 23 and 32.

Now, CinemaSpy is reporting that "Star Trek" star Chris Pine is on that list and he's actually the favorite to get the part. Pine is 29-years-old and has some room in his schedule to fit the "Captain America" shoot in.

If Pine is cast, there will be two Captain Kirks in "The Avengers." Chris Hemsworth, who played James T. Kirk's father in the recent "Star Trek" movie, has been cast as the lead in "Thor."

Until we hear any more about "Captain America," consider this story a rumor...
