World Record set for Trekkies in costume in London

Today in London (14/02/10), Namco Bandai organized a world record attempt at the largest gathering of people in Star Trek costumes. The stunt was done to promote Star Trek Online in Europe and according to the people at Guinness, they set the record with 99 people.
Not bad for a rainy day in London with half the public transport down!

And of course some ONTD_Startrek ladies were there too, rocking out in costume and attracting all the photographers!

Zoe with her man at the MYFDB launch

Cute? Yes. Friggin' adorable. They've got a project together, which I think is really cool. Hope it goes well!

AND PLEASE TELL ME I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FINDS THIS PROMO AWKWARD. That is until I started watching it on mute, and she hypnotized me by looking deep into my soul. Plus, I kinda hated her new haircut until I saw it all shiny and bouncing around her shoulders in this vid. O_o, werid. Officially hot to me now.

PS: recumbentgoat , any word from skywise1?

This is the weekly post where members can plan meetups for movies, conventions, and misc events.

Just specify the city/country you're in and link to a post in your personal journal where your neighbors can plan the meetup with you. or else check out the list of communities dedicated to these meet-ups  Collapse )

For those of you who were able to document your meetups, please post your pics and recaps here, or better yet link to a post in your own LJ so that the comment pages here don't break the internet.

Last week kiahwmconnie was told to Boldly Go and given a Vulcan salute while in CHURCH. Could this be a GQMF church? I think we all know the answer to that.

Plus, you bitches better post some stuff about that epic meet-up in London this Sunday. I'm so jealous, I don't even...

Even if you didn't take any pictures, please feel free to recount the awesomeness of meeting with other GQMF's, any funny conversations or accidental meeting of other Star Trek geeks fans. lol

Do it!
