So a while back I screencapped the antics of our favourite members of the NCC-1701 on Twitter and posted it on another website. In all my undue lateness, I'm sharing their amazing banters with you, in full tweetakular format.

Just as a sidenote, screencapping on a Macbook is a horror. NEVER DO IT.

I might screencap more in the future, bbs. Stay tuned. <3

Black Water Transit - Update of Doom ...

So ... after the cases raised in January were settled, there was a slight bit of hope on the horizon for actually seeing this movie in the next century, until more cases came along ...

Article from Variety about the latest injunction against the selling of the film:

Filmstalker.co.uk's analysis of the recent limbo :

You never know, the film MIGHT be released this century ... maybe. Possibly. At the moment it looks like it'll be straight to DVD - which won't help the creditors of Mr Bergstein claim back their money as it won't earn that much (clever business heads!) - but at least "Red" looks on target for this year, and "Priest" is still on for a January release date, so not all bad news :D

This is the weekly post where members can plan meetups for movies, conventions, and misc events.

Just specify the city/country you're in and link to a post in your personal journal where your neighbors can plan the meetup with you. or else check out the list of communities dedicated to these meet-ups  under hereCollapse )

For those of you who were able to document your meetups, please post your pics and recaps here, or better yet link to a post in your own LJ so that the comment pages here don't break the internet.

Last week the USS Macchiato's crew threw a going-away party for their First Officer.

Even if you didn't take any pictures, please feel free to recount the awesomeness of meeting with other GQMF's, any funny conversations or accidental meeting of other Star Trek geeks fans. lol

Do it!

For A Brighter Future: Relay For Life

My fellow GQMFs,

I come to you with a mission in hand. On this upcoming Saturday, April 24th, I will be doing Relay for Life walk for The American Cancer Society. You've proven many times over in the past that you are all amazing and caring people. I would like to call upon you to show that spirit again. My team is trying to fund raise money for this event. So far we've raised $20. Our team goal is set at $1000.  We have only five days left to try to raise even half of that. I would like you to consider donating.

This isn't just about trying to raise money, it's about trying to make an effort towards bettering thousands of lives. For me, it's deeply personal. I'm walking in memory of my grandparents, neighbor, and my cousin's aunt. They all lost their fight. I walk for those who've beat it, my cousin and my father. I walk for my other cousin, who is battling it right now, and for the mothers of two of my friends, both who've recently been diagnosed. I walk for those who fit in all three categories.

Help me complete my mission. Donate. Even if it's just a few dollars, it all helps towards a good cause. There are two links below. The first is a link to my donation page on The American Cancer Society webiste. The second leads to Fund Raising Party Post on my journal. Thank you.

Donate HereCollapse )

**EDIT** So I've tried fixing the links but LJ isn't letting me...you may just have to copy paste the links in address bar.. *sigh* Technology hates me today..

Mods, sorry if this isn't acceptable.
