“Edgar Wright Saves the World” - In Conversation With J.J. Abrams

LA Film Festival – June 20th, 21:30, tickets $15.00.

When it was announced that Edgar Wright would be writing and directing Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, a collective sigh of relief could be heard throughout the land. For fans of Bryan Lee O'Malley’'comic book about a Toronto bassist-scenester who must defeat his girlfriend's seven "evil exes" in hand-to-hand, sometime band-to-band combat, there was no better choice than Wright, the man whose wonderfully skewed comic sensibility has given us the BBC [actually Channel 4 in the UK] fave Spaced, the sheer zombie brilliance of Shaun of the Dead, and the high-octane send-up Hot Fuzz. It's simply a match made in hipster heaven.

Join Wright and special guest J.J. Abrams for a sure-to-be lively conversation about Wright’s career and an early glimpse at scenes from Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World.

I adore Edgar. I love JJ. I am not happy about being on the wrong continent for this. :(

I do not believe this has been posted here, or if it has it was quite long enough ago I no longer remember (though I am certain I would!). Apparently on an episode of Monday Night Raw in February, William Shatner performed a medley of intro songs from various wrestlers. Fucking amazing.

I mean honestly, I am speechless with joy from this.
