Old school fic rec post!

I got a fever, and the only cure is more cowbell fic. Specifically, TNG and DS9 fic. STXI/TOS fic is all well and good, but I'm very much in the middle of a love affair with the 24th century Trek universe and wish to prolong it. (I haven't yet started Voyager, though.)

SOOOOO, how's about another fic rec post? I don't remember the last time we had one, which I'm assuming means it's been long enough that my posting a new one is warranted.

I'm not gonna be picky and say y'all can't rec STXI fic, but since it is so much easier to find that than it is to find quality TNG, DS9, etc fic, I'd prefer to try to keep it at the classics, especially so everybody who's going through them for the first time can have a starting place for the old fic that's hard to find. (Or, you know, new fic that's about the old series...es)

So, without further ado, I'll rec you some of my favorites of the stuff I have managed to find. (Cause seriously. TNG is over 20 years old. Where the heck is all the fic? I've trawled most of Trekiverse, but I can guarantee that I've missed many gems since it's just impossible to stop and take a look at every single thing that's there.)

Right. So. Share your recs! (I know there *has* to be Kira/Dax fic out there somewhere.)

SDCC '10: First Look at Karl Urban in Priest!

From Shock Till You Drop:

The images from the show floor at the San Diego Comic-Con are coming in fast and furious. While we continue to update OUR GALLERY, we're making news bites of photos of interest, like this one.

At the Sony booth, attendees can get an up close look at Priest's villain, Black Hat, as played by Karl Urban. They've also got a motorcycle from the film on display.

So that's Thor on May 6 and Priest on May 13. \m/

ETA: And now we have a rumor that Karl has been offered the role of Judge Dredd.

ETA2: A better angle on the Black Hat poster. - Thanks, leighblack!
