It's that time of the week again: Friday!
So here is the weekly post where you GQMFs can post links to their own Star Trek-themed fan videos, art, fiction, crossover macros, and anything else that you feel best belongs right in here.
We recommend that you comment with a link to your journal/youtube/DeviantArt/etc, where we can all bust a gut laughing at your talent, as opposed to posting all the pictures/videos/etc in a single comment.
Punch pimp it!
Attention Fellow Star Trek Fans/Trekkies/Trekkers/idkmybffjim?,
My sister's boyfriend is a senior at the high school I went to, and he's in the band, which I was in, and this year they're doing a Star Trek themed marching show (nu!Trek, ending w/ TOS song like the movie, COOL). For homecoming he was elected as the band beau which is the homecoming representative who escorts the homecoming queen candidate. I don't know if homecoming is really big other places, but it's kind of huge in Texas. We make crazy stuff to wear like mums and decorate our football stadiums for the homecoming football game. We have a really big pep rally before the homecoming game for school spirit and to let people know who is running for homecoming queen! Woohoo! The homecoming queen is elected at school and announced at the homecoming game.
He knows how much I love Star Trek so he's asked me to help him with his pep rally float thingy. I was like, "Cool!" BUT I actually am not that great at creative stuff. It's supposed to be a small float that can be built on a type of pull around wagon that carries stuff like ice chests for the band, not like a car or trailer bed or anything. He wants to construct the Enterprise for the float. Does anyone have any kind of ideas on how to make this work??? Or any other kind of totally awesome ideas for the float or for fliers/stuff he could hand out to the students to campaign?
Thank you for any input at all!
Live long and prosper!!!
